I am so pleased to say that a couple of weeks ago, Burlap and Bling Design Studio took a field trip to a local Etsy event for Tampa Etsy sellers at Built in Seminole Heights. It was nice to have the opportunity to see all of the local Etsy creators that live in this lovely city. The creativity, and quality behind these works were beautifully executed and it's incredibly inspiring and comforting to know we are not alone in wanting to provide fresh ideas and personalized products. Below are some of the vendors I got to meet and learn more about their merchandise. Unfortunately, I had to leave early that night so I didn't get to make it to every booth. There were so many great stores, I regret not being able to say hello to everyone so to our readers I highly recommend checking out the Tampa Bay Etsy Crew Facebook to see some of the vendors that I didn't have the luck of meeting.

To begin (and please note that I'm introducing these in no particular order), I would like to show a few photos I managed to take of The Genesis. This is a hand crafted, one of kind jewelry store on Etsy. I was incredibly impressed with the detail and care put into these little treasures and it was such a pleasure to speak with Lauralie (the creator) about her jewelry. She just recently made Etsy her full time job and is enjoying every minute of it- Burlap and Bling wishes you the best!

Next up is Bin52. This store is very interesting in that all of it's merchandise is not only beer inspired but made from hops and grain. If you are a beer lover or currently shopping for a beer enthusiast this is the shop for you. I was blown away by this store's originality. Why didn't I think of that? XP

Lady Decoupage was a delight! For those of you who aren't familiar with the french term, it's the decoration of a surface with cut-outs of paper, linoleum, plastic, or other flat material over which varnish or lacquer is applied. Although, the actual process and details beyond that are lost to me. Whatever Lady Decoupage's technique, the end result is beautiful! Trust me when I say my photos do not do her art justice.

Unfortunately, being my first stand I visited I hadn't had the foresight to take some closeup shots. I'm extremely disappointed because Heaven Ridge Soap Co. seemed quite heavenly. Personally I look forward to trying the Moroccan Red Clay bar and the Well Being Bar (both shown below on the bottom right).

Perfect at the time for upcoming Father's Day, I stumbled upon Jamene Invitations. All of her invitations and decorations were so cute and unique! I plan to keep her in mind next time I host a party.

Loving industrial jewelry lately? Angela's Organics has you covered. Stephanie, one of our designers here at Burlap and Bling, was so ecstatic to purchase the rings below. She says that they're not only fashionable and go with just about anything but also supremely comfy despite being metal based. I want some too! XP
I am such a sucker for handmade soaps. I love to take extra long showers on some days and I'm always hunting for great soaps and scrubs to use. Rita Baker's handmade, all natural soaps are gorgeous in both smell and appearance. I really enjoyed speaking to Rita, it was obvious that she was extremely passionate about she does. She showed me a few new scents she'd been working on and all I'm gonna say is be excited and check her site often for new creations.
Freak Show Follies was a treat! I love the cameo earrings especially ( I have a cameo on a necklace that I've had for years- the coral earrings would match perfectly!). Personally, I've always had a flare for the little bit wicked and the selection of Freak Show Follies definitely speaks to its targeted audience. If you're wanting something unique and a little bit "freaky", please check this place out. I found myself saying "cool" waaaay too much to be healthy while on Freak Show Follies Etsy shop.
Fanatical Factory is awesome! I used to love to put cool pins like these on my backpack- collecting them becomes soooooo addicting. I would've bought this store out a few years ago.

FunkE Crafting was really neat, selling an assortment of personalized gifts. T- shirts, cups/ wine glasses, drink koozies, canvas signs, car decorations, and keychains all with customized designs made for you! I'm eyeing the koozies for beach trips this summer!

Black Cat Designs really interested me, I ended up speaking to the designer Jennifer for a decent amount of time (thanks for not shooing me away XP). She re-purposes "stuff" to make wearable art. At the event she was showing off her cool domino pendants- the layered stamps create a nifty effect.

Rockabilly Revolt and Lola's Handcrafted seemed like really neat and interesting vendors. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hang out very long at their booth- I stopped by while on my way out. I did meet Madison of Rockabilly Revolt briefly and I loved how much fun all her accessories were- bow ties, head wraps, hair bows, etc sporting comic styled illustrations and crazy patterns. Although, I didn't get to learn much about Lola's Handmade while at the Etsy event, I did later check out her website and the variety of her products was awesome. She sells not only handmade soaps but candles, body creams, and some makeup items.
