NOVA 535 Event



The Sunday before last was such a blast! Burlap and Bling attended a Simple Weddings vendor show at NOVA 535 in St. Pete. It was like a party! NOVA 535 was serving drinks at their gorgeous bar, a few caterers brought delicious food ( mini chicken tacos, pastas, desserts), there were fun raffles and games, as well as a live DJ looking out over the dance floor from the 2nd story. As always, I really enjoyed meeting so many different people- informing prospective customers of our products as well as learning about other local wedding vendors and meeting new friends! Because at Burlap and Bling Design Studio we know that finding the right bouquets, accessories and decor are just a few of the big decisions a future bride must make we truly enjoy meeting so many specialty, local vendors that we can we with good faith recommend you to. Below are some vendors we met at NOVA 535 and we hope to learn more about and possibly work with in the future.  For your convenience, I've placed them within the following categories: Accessories/ Decorations, Catering, and Honeymoon Supplies. Sorry for some of the photos, it was very crowded so in my rush, some of the photos are not as focused as I'd like.


 NOVA 535 was gorgeous! I loved the twin stairs on each side on the dance floor leading up. The space was very open yet intimate with a beautiful bar- perfect for almost any event. I have to say, as advertised, NOVA 535 was a unique event space. I hope to go there again in the future.

ACCESSORIES/ DECORATIONS

  •  Mary with a Veil

What a lovely family! As always I am pleased to introduce to our readers extraordinary local businesses, Mary with a Veil is most definitely one of them. Mary with a Veil offers brides a one of kind service- customized, colored veils! I always wondered why more brides don't add a little color to their veils these days considering how well some color trimmed wedding gowns have sold in the past. The answer- because there aren't any! The Dressing Room offers detailed, loving service to it's brides. With her years of enhanced experience in the knowledge of shopping, style, and service from around the globe, the owner Judy Ferrara opened her own bridal shop to share what she had learned and give local brides the attention they deserve. If you're looking for personalized bridal gown service The Dressing Room is worth the consideration is your dress hunt.
  • Thirty-One 



Looking for a unique gift for your bridesmaids or an experience? Thirty-One may be what you're looking for. Thirty- One sells a large array of totes, backpacks, utility bags, purses, and more for our everyday purposes- proving to be both stylish yet functional. If you're looking for a quick cute gift purchase, their website is both informative as well as includes their full catalog. However, if you're looking for a party for yourself and your friends I suggest contacting Dominique Nelson- a very sweet woman who was a joy to speak with (her site is linked above)!

Chiavari Chairs are elegant and sophisticated- perfect for almost any event be it a wedding, anniversary, or a graduation. Aside from chair rentals, Posh Events services also include, wedding planning, as well as the much enjoyed candy buffet ( seriously, if you haven't thought of this already you should check it out- who wouldn't love a seemingly endless supply of candy?XP).

Chives was both delicious and fun! I wanted to cry a little in joy when I saw the wonderful platter of chicken tacos and huge bowl of yellow rice... oh how I love tacos... As you can imagine, I devoured my entire plate!

For local style, and a dish that will make your taste buds dance, I highly recommend looking into Chives. For both a creative and unexpected menu, Chives is perfect for any event from an intimate gathering at home, to an elaborate wedding.







  • Olympia Catering/ Events

 Although, I didn't have the chance to take any photos I wanted to make sure I got the chance to mention Olympia. At the NOVA 535 show they were so fabulous as to bring two different types of pasta dishes for guests to try as well as an extremely large amount of delectable cupcakes. Aside from catering their services include china, flatware, stemware, table, linen, and chair rentals, as well as beverage services.

Pure Romance is a company that I surprisingly already knew. My friend attended a Pure Romance party a couple of years ago and I remembered the name due to how much she raved about it.
